week three.

as with arranged marriages, i have finally learned how to love cardio. be it low-intensity, interval or HIT training...i love it all.

not only do i enjoy being so completely drenched in sweat that i have to, literally, peel my clothes off of my body in order to get out of them -but i have this new found respect and admiration for all those long-distance runners, cyclists and swimmers who have mental strength and perseverance like body builders simply would not believe.

and, whereas i've been training consistently for almost three years now, i'm really proud to say that i think i've found my nook within the training sphere. as a result of what has now been several years of trial and error, i've established and fine-tuned a balanced exercise regime: less than 10% of which i genuinely despise.

and that is what i find is the key to succeeding in one's fitness and exercise goals: you have to find that which it is you enjoy; whether it be in your training, your diet or your lifestyle.

with that being said, i can't truthfully say that i hate any part of my exercise plan, enough that i absolutely refuse to stick to it. i mean, i'll admit, doing squats -as often as i do them- sucks. but my legs and their surrounding areas love me for it =)

anyway, it's week three and i'm on target. 3.2 pounds lost; less than 9 to go!
