can't live with them...

although i'm pretty sure most of us could survive without them.

but, i suppose it's only inevitable that every gym has to maintain their quota of laughingstock. realistically, which gym wouldn't? but what matters more than the mere presence of men and women, alike, who come across as complete douche bags is the ratio of those objects of ridicule to the remainder of the gym population, who are there for good reason and know that compromising form for weight is strength training's ultimate no-no.

so, it's not exactly a con, per se..just an inevitability one simply cannot avoid in the fitness arena.

but, other than the steroid-injected, tattoo-covered men, who walk around like they own the world; and the made up, bleached-blonde women with barbie-inspired physiques who never wear their hair up and probably spend hours getting ready for their god-knows-what-intensity "workout" -i like my new gym =)

it's a nice change of scenery, a completely different atmosphere to what i've become accustomed to and a wider range of cardio-based classes to attend, which i LOVE, btw. and i finally feel as if i've outgrown river grove, so the move was all about when and where.

so, with regards to my 100-day challenge, it's day seven and my diet has been on point (except for sunday evening's big valentine's day meal) -although i don't think i'm eating enough (which is never difficult to fix). and with all cardio i've done this week and will be doing for the next few months, i think i'll be seeing the results i am anticipating!

*one more, really important thing on my to-do list: buy a gel-padded, bike seat cover.
