there's really ever only so much traffic at 6 o'clock in the morning on a stat holiday monday. with that being said, getting stuck on a hill, not being able to get things going in time and thereby, rolling back into the person behind me was the least of my worries, being practically the only car on the road.
until i had to drive home.
nevertheless, i made it to work on time -and alive; of which the latter was, honestly, all i was asking for.
luckily, the imposition i chose to make upon myself has resulted in a positive experience -despite my initial sentiments, which bordered dread and regret. i figure it only makes sense to force yourself to cross something off of your to-do list before adding something new. the way i see it: it's a win-win situation; you're guaranteed a limited to-do list on your deathbed -and some sense of accomplishment in life, however little that may be.
see?
win-win.
so, in light of the conscious effort i'm making to grow on a worldly level -and in my attempt to better myself from as many angles as is possible, it's nice to know that i'm finally on my way to being granted acceptance into the elite league of human beings who know how to -and actually can -drive a car with a manual transmission.
and, here's to hoping i survive the rest of the week.
