i'm sure we've all found ourselves at that infamous point in life: the million-pronged fork in the road, at which you become aware of just how many options are available to you -and how choosing one is much more complicated than it ought to be.
obviously, being as fickle as i am doesn't help. in fact, it's as good as counter-productive with respect to narrowing down my choices. but, right now, that's what things feel like: there's just so much to do -but not enough time to do it all...
and i'm not sure if it's simply a matter of my feigning a momentary interest in more things that i can realistically be involved in at the time being; or if it, ultimately, boils down to the fact that i just don't know what i want at this stage in my life in any respect, shape or form.
on that note, what worries me is that my current mode of operation -the process of elimination- upon which i am relying, will eventually fail; and i, twenty years from now, will wake up one morning to the sad realization that i still only know what i don't want...
will i, at some point or another, discover what it is i want in life by merely eliminating all the things i know i don't want? or, was it aristotle who said that you cannot know you've found what you're looking for, if you weren't aware that it was what you were in search of in the first place?
