to give thanks and eat turkey.

actually, more so the latter. but, in my attempt to define "thanksgiving" -and what it represents -essentially, that would be it.

anyway, it seems like light years have passed between now and a year ago today. it's interesting, i find, to see whether or not and to what extent i've perhaps changed over the course of 365 days; which is one benefit -and a primary reason behind my keeping and updating this blog. where it all goes or what it will someday end up being, one, two or five years from now is beyond me. but every once in a while, rewinding to a time which seems so comparably unreal -and ridiculous, might i add -makes me thankful for what i have today.

and whereas i could go on about the things i'm grateful for, this year -but if i've learned a single thing -it'd have to be that some things can, rightfully, go unsaid.

so, happy thanksgiving! as naive as this may make me sound, i think everyone, regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status or other, has some thing to be thankful for. and whereas it shouldn't require a set day in the year to remember to give thanks. at the end of the day, we are all human...and sometimes, all it takes, is a friendly reminder =)
