life starts now.

it has finally happened: i have become one of "those" people...your typical 9-5, business chic, 401 rush-hour, after-work gym-goer.

and, for the most part, at least, i'm enjoying it. minus, without doubt, the commute. but, change is always, always good. and it's just so completely different from what i've become accustomed to, working at a public pool for so many years. with the information overload and everything i've learned (in only three days!) -it's exactly what i've been craving. especially considering just how unproductive one begins to feel guarding lane swim after lane swim and fun swim after fun swim.
so, as difficult as it is to say goodbye to my home away from home, and the place at which i spent the most crucial years of my life until now...it's the right time. i think i'm at the right place in my life to break away from that which has become my comfort zone and finally make the move.

..after realizing that i had gotten to the point at which my life became entirely stagnant, the timing really couldn't be any better.

and, i mean, it's never a bad thing being the new kid -despite how much it sucks when you're young. but, people always seem to be fascinated with new things. and, for now, i'm enjoying being a novelty of sorts...and in an office full of i.t. guys, it's turning out to be fairly interesting, shall we say?

anyway, being in the workforce really makes you appreciate your weekends. and, well, it's finally the weekend, so here's to making it a good one!
