one hundred and thirty-one days.

you can never really know what you're waking up to until you physically get out of bed and the universe decides to impart upon you the knowledge that today just so happens to be one of those days: the kind you wouldn't choose to wake up to on a regular basis, were you in fact given the option.

and why is that?

because if being a girl in this world doesn't already suck badly enough, try adding being hormonal to that equation, having absolutely nothing to wear, misplacing one of your favourite earrings (the pair of which you had intended on wearing btw), mistaking facewash for face cream and astringent for make-up remover, stress blemishes, bedhead that makes you look like a madwoman, bangs that won't sit straight, blisters from over-walking in heels and nothing in the fridge you would ever allow yourself to eat.

that's not redundant now, is it?

and in spite of the fact that we are all aware of the extent to which misery undoubtedly loves company, it's very easy (and highly comforting, mind you) to sit around and throw yourself a pity party for one. plus, i would imagine that said company is rarely all that thrilled to be in attendance, anyhow. at least those are my sentiments exactly, having walked a million miles in company's shoes. and believe me, they're no pair of Jimmy Choo laser cut, snake-lace print, patent, peep-toe ankle boots! although, if they were, the million-mile strut would be aesthetically pleasing in the least; the result, however: extreme blisterville.

weigh the options and count your blessings, right?
