the coming of summer, in itself, is a highly-anticipated event. although this year, the feeling is, in a way, more absent than not...or changed, rather -possibly because i'm not longer in school and abiding by the school-year calendar. and whereas summer once signified the end of exams and the start of a four-month-long vacation....unfortunately, this time around, none of those concepts apply as such.
and it's obviously just a part of growing up and out of the "student" mentality where you only work hard for only eight months in a year -if that. but, then again, as much as it's easy to miss being a student and living the student lifestyle, the advantages to being an adult, at times, manage to compensate.
anyway, it's just weird that it's already almost june. were i still in university, i would likely have been aware of summertime's proximity by early april; and perhaps would have been able to enjoy looking forward to summer...
on a positive note, i will simply have to make up all that lost "enjoyment" elsewhere =) anddddd, while i'm at it, two songs that are simply summerlicious: "one life stand" and "break even".
absolutely LOVE themmmmmm!
