auto-recovery.

it's the end of day 2 of my fitness challenge and i haven't cheated yet! which is a huge accomplishment on my part LOL.

so i can't really complain at this point.

i find that once my workouts start to wean, my eating habits, by default, just fall to shits. and i end up testing myself, to see just how much i can reverse all the hard work i've put my body through within the span of a week or two. granted, giving your body rest and time to recover is a good thing. but not the way i do it.

i guess what counts is being able to pick yourself up and get back on track. and once i resolve to return to eating clean and working out regularly, i'm usually able to maintain a fairly high level of focus and discipline. although i think that that may be what ultimately screws me over.

i've realized that i need to practice a bit more moderation, especially when it comes to my diet. they say that extremes are never a good thing. and it's true. they're not easy to adhere to properly for long periods of time, and in the long run, they turn out not to be the most productive alternative.

so, i'm hoping that i'll last the entire 60 days. i'm also hoping that after these 60 days i don't go through another cycle of entirely letting myself go. i've decided that the logic behind my 2-week-long binges is that i know i can (somewhat easily) reverse the effects. i know what to do to get my body into its prime shape -i've done it before. i know what works for me and what doesn't. i also know that i have what it takes. i've hit my ideal shape, size and weight several times. but that comes with its cons. i suppose the worrying-process is now on some sort of delayed-timer when it comes to packing on the pounds.

and i suppose the slacker in my has adopted the "been there, done that" attitude. it's not a bad thing to have confidence in oneself, but i'm afraid that one day it'll totally bite me in my potentially, cellulite-covered ass.

but for now, i think i'm safe.

and to be completely honest, after being so careful with everything i eat and counting every calorie consumed and every calorie burned, it's sometimes nice not to have to worry about what i eat and whether or not those jeans will fit once they come out of the dryer.

being a girl is hard enough without having to deal with weight and image issues. so yea, sometimes eating like a guy is the way to go =)
