back to blogging.

this may sound pathetic, but i've realized that my blogging patterns highlight the periods in my life during which i've been alone, on my own and in discovery mode. and, whether or not that's a good thing -that is, i suppose, where i am, once again, today.

but, as i've always said -and been a firm believer in -life goes on, whether or not you're along for the ride. i'd say it's always better to hop on in the hopes of not getting left behind, but that's just me.

this year's been rough and tough in more ways than one -and my biggest regret to date is not being able to manage it all with ease. given that school became a top priority, the remainder of my life became everything but. and what used to be my life philosophy became a chore that i simply no longer had time for.

from a fitness perspective, aligning your life with your diet and exercise commitments is really the way to go. because, as i've experienced, the moment you lose sight of what is truly important when it comes to eating clean and working out, your entire life falls apart. and this is not me being dramatic. obviously there are a million visible benefits to working out on a regular basis. yes, you slim down, buff up, gain muscle tone, have "glowier" skin...bla bla bla. but on the flip side, there are so many invisible benefits that you only really start to notice once you've lost them completely.

but by then, it's usually too late.

fortunately, i believe that life is about second chances -why wouldn't it be? having said that, here's to getting back on the wagon with a 12-week, 3-phase workout regime that -i'm hoping -will set me up to a good start and noticeable results. full force, no excuses.

p.s. did i mention there's no cardio for the 1st 4 weeks? lucky me :)
